- Psalms 146:1-2 (The Living Bible) Paraphrased
“Praise the Lord! Yes, really praise him! I will praise him as long as I live, yes, even with my dying breath.”
I love to praise God. When I think of his magnificent hands and all that he created I am humbled. He still calls the sun to rise in the morning and the moon to shine at night. Raindrops fall at his command and the stars, that he calls by name, shine brightly in the heavens at night.
Praising him also brings comfort to me. When I think about all of the wonderful creations that he made, his endurance and his power, I know that I am safe beneath his wings. Flowers that are so breathtaking, beautiful bodies of water, streams, waterfalls and the mountains all point to his greatness.
Start your Monday praising God and see if you don’t have a more desirable week. He certainly deserves our praise. For me, praising him makes my problems seem less complicated. As I focus on God and his greatness my problems seem to fade into the background of my mind and I immediately feel more calm. He is the God that created the world and all that is in it. I know that he can handle my problems. I know that he cares about me. He can handle your problems too.
Praise the Lord!
