Encouraging Words

Encouraging Words

Encouraging Words.  The spoken word is powerful.  When you speak, your words have the power to build up, encourage, and motivate.  Or your words have the ability to tear down, discourage and depress.

Who do you go to for positive words and encouragement?  Sometimes friends, family, and church members can be a source of positive words.  Or, you may have books and devotionals that encourage you.

I have learned that the Bible is my best source for encouraging words and positive reinforcement.

  • John 6:35                            Living Bible

Jesus replied, “I am the Bread of Life.  No one coming to me will ever be hungry again.  Those believing in me will never thirst.”

That bible verse is one of my favorite verses for encouragement.  Jesus is all we need.  Through Jesus we can come to the Father. Through Jesus we will live forever.

Reading the Bible will help you to remember these verses.  When the world tries to depress your spirit these verses will come to mind and give you strength.  Read the following verses to see what the Bible says about encouragement.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:11         Living Bible

“So encourage each other to build each other up, just as you are already doing.”

  • Romans 15:5                      Living Bible

“May God who gives patience, steadiness, and encouragement help you to live in complete harmony with each other – each with the attitude of Christ toward the other.”

Speak positive, encouraging words to those around you today.  Ask God to give you the perfect words for someone today that needs encouragement.
